Albert Riera was sent off for Olympiacos in the 1-1 draw with Panionios but they are still at the top of the league. Kevin Mirallas fired the top team into an unsurprising lead over a side loitering just one place above the relegation play-off spot two minutes before half-time.
However, they were pegged back by substitute Vaclav Sverkos in the 68th minute and lost Albert Riera to a straight red card five minutes later. Still they sit ten points clear of nearest challengers Panathinakos at the summit.
The result also keeps Panionios a point ahead of Asteras Tripoli, who won 1-0 at bottom club Panserriakos thanks to Rogerio Martins' 19th-minute penalty. Third-placed AEK Athens emerged victorious by the odd goal in five at Ergotelis.
