It looks like it is going to be a huge scramble for the signature of Paris Saint-Germain winger Kylian Mbappé in the summer, with a host of clubs across Europe monitoring his situation at the French club. The France international forward is yet to sign a contract extension at the club and it has raised fears among PSG fans that they could lose their prized asset to another club this summer.

Although not a lot of clubs are able to afford him because of his huge price tag, Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid are part of the few clubs that have the financial power to acquire his services in the summer alongside Manchester United and Manchester City. However, it looks like United are not in the running for his signature, leaving City and Madrid as the two clubs who could prize him with a move away from Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

Liverpool were linked with a move for Mbappé last summer, but the Reds manager Jurgen Klopp came out openly to debunk those rumors, insisting that the Merseyside giants do not have that kind of money to splash on just one player. Liverpool do need to splash the cash this summer and bring in new players into the club following their dismal season this campaign that has seen them struggle to break into the top four of the English Premier League table.

However, despite that, the club’s former player, Albert Riera believes that the club should gather funds possibly from player sales this summer and do all they can to sign the World Cup-winning star because he believes the player is a good fit for the club. Riera says Liverpool need to revamp their attacking frontline that has struggled to produce goals this season and Mbappé will bring that if they sign him in the summer.
